This Privacy Policy explains what information LangoBee ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and apps (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and display name when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
• Learning data — the content you read or watch, your word-status dictionary, reading progress, streaks, and preferences. This is the core of the product and is tied to your account.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We store a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status.
• Usage data — anonymous-leaning product analytics (pages viewed, features used, device/browser) to understand and improve the Service.

How we use your information

• To provide and personalize the Service (e.g. level-matched content, comprehension).
• To process subscriptions, trials, and billing through Stripe.
• To send essential account and billing emails (e.g. trial-ending reminders).
• To analyze and improve features, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted processors to run the Service: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Stripe (payments), product analytics, and embedded YouTube players for video content. Each handles data under its own privacy terms.

Data retention and your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can access and export your vocabulary and reading history from within the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some records (e.g. payment records) may be retained as required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as language), and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
